Two arrested for promoting pretend marks record of Mangalore Institute of Technological Sciences

MANGALURU: Sleuths of (CCB) on Sunday nabbed two persons for selling of (MITS) operating from , Thokkottu. Incidentally, the had arrested , resident of Thokkottu in connection with this case for selling fake marks list and certificates for amounts ranging from Rs 10000 to Rs 45000 and the latest arrests take the total arrests in this case to three.
City police chief said a case was registered in this regard at Ullal police station and that the police were on the lookout for other accused, who were absconding. CCB sleuths who got information of these other accused nabbed Askan Sheikh, 25 and Asraruddin, 26, both residents of Chembugudde, Thokkottu. Describing the duo as the main accused in this case, Suresh said the sleuths handed them over to jurisdictional Ullal PS for further action.

Noting that Askan Sheikh was running MITS, Suresh said the accused since 2016 had started selling SSLC, PUC, degree, diploma and other degree marks list for amounts ranging from Rs 10,000 to Rs 45,000. CCB sleuths recovered two mobile phones from their possession; he said adding police in 2016 had nabbed Askan for a similar crime while running at Mahavir (Pumpwell) Circle in Mangaluru East PS limits.

Askan was accused of similarly selling fake marks list and degree certificates through Eduexcel Consultancy operating under Mangalore Institute of Management Engineering then, Suresh said adding that CCB sleuths had busted his operations even then and seized fake marks list and degree certificates. Suresh lauded the detection carried out by CCB personnel headed by Police Inspector Shantharam, PSI Shyam Sunder, and Kabbal Raj and others.
