Pune police busts intercourse racket, rescues two ladies

PUNE: The social security cell of Pune police‘s crime branch recently busted a sex racket operating from a hotel on the Jangli Maharaj Road and rescued two women. The police seized four cell phones and cash of Rs 12,000 from the hotel.
Inspector Sanjay of the social security cell said that police constable had received a tip-off that a man from Vadgaon budruk was running a sex racket at the different lodges in the city.

Tarate also got information that the man had kept some women in these lodges and used to send their photographs to customers through mobile messaging service. “With the help of a decoy we confirmed the tip and carried out raid at the hotel on Sunday,” Patil said.

Patil said that the police rescued two women from the hotel including one from and another from . “We have detained one person from the hotel and seized Rs 12,000 and four cellphones, Patil said.

Patil said that the police have registered an offence against three agents and a manager of the hotel. “We have sent the women to a rescue home,” Patil said.

The investigating team comprised assistant inspector , police constables Sachin Kadam, Rajaram Ghogare, Namdeo Shelar, Pradip Kachare, Anuradha Thombare, Rupali Chandgude and Sandip Gaikwad.
